Since 1973 our firm has been providing architectural, urban design and consulting services to the land development industry. Specializing in Architectural Control and community design visioning, our firm’s main focus is to obtain a high standard of design quality for the built environment and to enhance the streetscape appearance of new communities. This is achieved by developing and implementing design guidelines which provide a clear vision that is unique and appropriate to each project. Our team of dedicated professionals takes pride in our portfolio of award-winning projects and our proven track record as leaders in the field of architectural control within southern Ontario.

Avi joined the firm in 2005 and has over 35 years as a design architect and control architect specializing in a variety of residential and mixed-use projects within Ontario. His many years of practical design experience allow him to provide cost-effective and creative architectural and site design solutions.

John Tassiopoulos
John Tassiopoulos

MCIP, RPP

John Tassiopoulos is the VP of Architectural Control and Urban Design at Williams and Stewart Associates. He has more than 25 years of professional experience in urban design and urban planning including the preparation of community master plans, transit-oriented community design, secondary plan studies, corridor and avenue segment studies, urban and architectural design guidelines, and urban design peer reviews. John was most recently a Practice Lead (Urban Design) with WSP Canada Inc. John is the Urban Design Mentor / Instructor in the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada’s Syllabus Program, a panel member on the City of Vaughan’s Design Review Panel, and a panel member of the Toronto Local Appeal Body.
